Moreover, the author of Hebrews reminds us that our victory is secured by our sympathetic High Priest, Jesus Christ, who was "in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin" (Hebrews 4:15). Because He Himself suffered when tempted, He is able to come to the aid of those who are being tempted (Hebrews 2:18). Believers are summoned to be sober, vigilant, and armed with the whole armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18), knowing that when we submit to God and resist the devil, the enemy will flee (James 4:7).
