1AND I saw a dreame, and behold an eagle came vp from the sea, which had twelue waued winges, and three heades.stylus2And I saw, and behold she spred her winges ouer al the earth, and al the windes of the heauen blew on her, and were gathered together.stylus3And I saw, and of her winges sprang contrarie winges, and they became little winges and smale.stylus4For her heades were at rest: the middle head was greater then the other heades, but it rested with them.stylus5And I saw, and behold the eagle flew with her winges, to reigne ouer the earth, and ouer them that inhabite it.stylus6And I saw that al thinges vnder heauen were subiect to her, and no man gaynesayd her, no not one of the creature vpon earth.stylus7And I saw, and behold the eagle rose vp vpon her clawes, and vttered her voice to her winges, saying:stylus8Watch not al at once: sleepe euerie one in his place, and watch by time:stylus9but let the heades be reserued for the last.stylus10And I saw, and behold the voice came not out of her heades, but from the middes of her bodie.stylus11And I numbered her contrarie winges, and behold there were eight.stylus12And I saw, and behold on the right side rose one wing, and reigned ouer al the earth.stylus13And it came to passe, when it reigned, the end of it came, and it appeared not: and the next rose vp, and reigned, and it held much time.stylus14And it came to passe, when it reigned, the end of it came also, so that it appeared no more as the first.stylus15And behold a voice was sent forth to it, saying:stylus16Heare thou that hast held the earth of long time: thus I tel thee before thou beginne not to appeare:stylus17None after thee shal hold thy time, no nor the half therof.stylus18And the third lifted vp it self, and held the principalitie as also the former, and it also appeared no more.stylus19And so it chanced to al the winges to beare principalitie, and not to appeare.stylus20And I saw, and behold in processe of time the rest of the winges also was set vp on the right side, that they also might hold the principalitie: and of them there were that held it, but forthwith they appeared not.stylus21For some of them also stood vp, but held not the principalitie.stylus22And I saw after these thinges, and behold the twelue winges appeared no more, and two litle winges:stylus23and there remained in the bodie of the eagle nothing but three heades resting, and six litle winges.stylus24And I saw, and behold from the six litle winges, two were diuided, and remayned vnder the head, that was on the right side: for foure remayned in their place.stylus25And I saw, and behold these vnder winges thought to set vp themselues, and to hold principalitie.stylus26And I saw, and behold one was set vp, but sodenly it appeared not.stylus27And the second, and this was swalowed vp more then the first.stylus28And I saw, and behold two remayned of them, that thought in them selues to reigne.stylus29And whiles they cogitated, behold one of the resting heades, that was in the middes, awaked, for this was greater then the two heades.stylus30And I saw, how it ioyned the two heades with it self.stylus31And behold the head was turned with them that were with it, and it did eate the two vnderwings, that thought to reigne.stylus32And this head terrified al the earth, and ruled ouer them that inhabite it with much labour, and it held the power of the globe of the earth aboue al the winges that were.stylus33And after these thinges I saw, and behold the midle head sodenly appeared not, as the winges.stylus34And there remayned the two heades, which also reigned ouer the earth, & ouer the inhabitants therof.stylus35And I saw, and behold the deuouring head on the right side, deuoured that which was on the left side.stylus36And I heard a voice, saying to me: Looke before thee, and consider what thou seest.stylus37And I saw, and behold as is were a Lyon raysed vp out of the wood roaring, and I saw that he sent out a mans voice to the eagle, and sayd :stylus38Heare thou, and I wil speake to thee, and the Highest sayth to thee:stylus39Art not thou it that remaynest of the foure beastes, which I made to reigne in my world, that the end of my times might come by them?stylus40And the fouth came, and ouercame al the beastes that were past, and held the world with much trembling, and al the globe of the earth with sorowful feare, & inhabited the earth a great time with deceit.stylus41And thou hast iudged the earth not with truth.stylus42For thou hast afflicted the meeke, and hurt the quiet, and loued lyers, and destroyed the habitations of them that brought forth fruite, and hast throwen downe the walles of them that did thee no harme.stylus43And thy contumelie is come vp to the Highest, and thy pride to the Mightie.stylus44And the Highest hath looked vpon the proud times: and behold they are ended, and the abhominations thereof are fulfilled.stylus45Therefore appeare no more thou eagle, and thy horrible winges, and thy litle winges most wicked, and thy malignant heades, and thy wicked clawes, and al thy vaine bodie,stylus46that al the earth may be refreshed, and be returned deliuered from thy violence, and may hope for the iudgement and mercie of him that made her.stylus
