Benaiah, son of Jehoiada from Kabzeel, was a legendary warrior whose loyalty and courage made him a cornerstone of the Davidic dynasty. As the commander of the Cherethites and Pelethites (David's elite foreign bodyguard), he was responsible for the King's personal safety and handled some of the most sensitive missions of the kingdom.
His reputation was forged through "mighty exploits" that placed him near the top of David's Three Mighty Men.
