What Does Proverbs 15:9 Mean?

The direction of a person's life is a matter of weighty interest to the Creator, who observes not just individual actions but the underlying path they have chosen to walk. The way of the wicked (derek rasha) is an abomination to the Lord because it is a direct rejection of his character and his purposes for humanity. The Creator has designed the world so that those who seek his kingdom will find that his own faithfulness meets them on the road, providing the strength they need for the journey.

He taught his disciples that those who hunger and thirst for righteousness are specifically blessed, for they will be satisfied by the grace of God. By abiding in Jesus, the believer is empowered to walk in a way that is well-pleasing to the Father, looking forward to the day when all their efforts will be rewarded in his presence.
