I Chronicles 7

¹Now the sons of Issachar were Tola and Puah, Jashub and Shimron, four.

²The sons of Tola: Uzzi, and Rephaiah, and Jeriel, and Jahmai, and Ibsam, and Shemuel, leaders according to the houses of their kindred. From the stock of Tola, there were numbered, in the days of David, twenty-two thousand six hundred very strong men.

³The sons of Uzzi: Izrahiah, from whom were born: Michael, and Obadiah, and Joel, and Isshiah; all five were leaders.

⁴And with them, by their families and peoples, there were thirty-six thousand very strong men, girded for battle. And they had many wives and children.

⁵Also, their brothers, throughout all the kindred of Issachar, were numbered as eighty-seven thousand, very fit for battle.

⁶The sons of Benjamin: Bela, and Becher, and Jediael, three.

⁷The sons of Bela: Ezbon, and Uzzi, and Uzziel, and Jerimoth and Iri, five leaders of families, also very fit for battle; and their number was twenty-two thousand thirty-four.

⁸Now the sons of Becher: Zemirah, and Joash, and Eliezer, and Elioenai, and Omri, and Jeremoth, and Abijah, and Anathoth, and Alemeth: all these were sons of Becher.

⁹And they were numbered according to their families, by the leaders of their kindred, very strong in warfare, twenty thousand and two hundred.

¹⁰And the sons of Jediael: Bilhan, and the sons of Bilhan: Jeush, and Benjamin, and Ehud, and Chenaanah, and Zethan, and Tarshish, and Ahishahar.

¹¹All these were sons of Jediael, the leaders of their kindred, very strong men, seventeen thousand and two hundred, going forth to battle.

¹²Also, Shuppim and Huppim, the sons of Ir; and Hushim, sons of Aher.

¹³Then the sons of Naphtali: Jahziel, and Guni, and Jezer, and Shallum, sons of Bilhah.

¹⁴Also, the son of Manasseh: Asriel. And his concubine, a Syrian, bore Machir, the father of Gilead.

¹⁵Now Machir took wives for his sons, Huppim and Shuppim. And he had a sister named Maacah; but the name of the second was Zelophehad, and daughters were born to Zelophehad.

¹⁶And Maacah, the wife of Machir, bore a son, and she called his name Peresh. And the name of his brother was Sheresh. And his sons were Ulam and Rakem.

¹⁷Then the son of Ulam: Bedan. These are the sons of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh.

¹⁸And his sister, Regina, bore Ishhod, and Abiezer, and Mahlah.

¹⁹Now the sons of Shemida were Ahian, and Shechem, and Likhi and Aniam.

²⁰And the sons of Ephraim: Shuthelah, Bered his son, Tahath his son, Eleadah his son, Tahath his son, whose son was Zabad,

²¹and his son was Shuthelah, and his son was Ezer, and also Elead. But the men indigenous to Gath killed them, because they had descended to invade their possessions.

²²And so their father, Ephraim, mourned for many days; and his brothers arrived, so that they might console him.

²³And he entered to his wife; she conceived and bore a son. And he called his name Beriah, because he rose up during a time of evil for his house.

²⁴Now his daughter was Sheerah, who built lower and upper Beth-horon, and also Uzzen-sheerah.

²⁵And Rephah was his son, and Resheph, and Telah, from whom was born Tahan,

²⁶who conceived Ladan. And his son was Ammihud, who conceived Elishama,

²⁷from whom was born Nun, who had Joshua as a son.

²⁸Now their possessions and habitations were: Bethel with her daughters, and toward the east, Naaran, and toward the western region, Gezer and her daughters, as well as Shechem with her daughters, as far as Ayyah with her daughters;

²⁹also, beside the sons of Manasseh, Bethshean and her daughters, Taanach and her daughters, Megiddo and her daughters, Dor and her daughters. In these places, there lived the sons of Joseph, the son of Israel.

³⁰The sons of Asher: Imnah, and Ishvah, and Ishvi, and Beriah, and Serah their sister.

³¹And the sons of Beriah: Heber, and Malchiel, the same is the father of Birzaith.

³²Now Heber conceived Japhlet, and Shomer, and Hotham, and their sister Shua.

³³The sons of Japhlet: Pasach, and Bimhal, and Ashvath; these are the sons of Japhlet.

³⁴Then the sons of Shomer: Ahi, and Rohgah, and Jehubbah, and Aram.

³⁵And the sons of Helem, his brother: Zophah, and Imna, and Shelesh, and Amal.

³⁶The sons of Zophah: Suah, Harnepher, and Shual, and Beri, and Imrah,

³⁷Bezer, and Hod, and Shamma, and Shilshah, and Ithran, and Beera.

³⁸The sons of Jether: Jephunneh, and Pispa, and Ara.

³⁹Then the sons of Ulla: Arah, and Hanniel, and Rizia.

⁴⁰All these were sons of Asher, the leaders of families, elect and very strong rulers among rulers. And the number of those who were of an age that was fit for warfare was twenty-six thousand.

³The sons of Ozi: Izrahia, of whom were born Michael, and Obadia, and Joel, and Jesia, five all great men.

⁴And there were with them by their families and peoples, six and thirty thousand most valiant men ready for war: for they had many wives and children.

⁵Their brethren also throughout all the house of Issachar, were numbered fourscore and seven thousand most valiant men for war.

⁶The sons of Benjamin were Bela, and Bechor, and Jadihel, three.

⁷The sons of Bela: Esbon, and Ozi, and Ozial, and Jerimoth and Urai, five chiefs of their families, and most valiant warriors, and their number was twenty-two thousand and thirty-four.

⁸And the sons of Bechor were Zamira, and Joas, and Eliezer, and Elioenai, and Amai, and Jerimoth, and Abia, and Anathoth, and Almath: all these were the sons of Bechor.

⁹And they were numbered by the families, heads of their kindreds, most valiant men for war, twenty thousand and two hundred.

¹⁰And the son of Jadihel: Balan. And the sons of Balan: Jehus and Benjamin, and Aod, and Chanana, and Zethan and Tharsis, and Ahisahar.

¹¹All these were sons of Jadihel, heads of their kindreds, most valiant men, seventeen thousand and two hundred fifty to go out to war.

¹²Sepham also and Hapham the sons of Hir: and Hasim the sons of Aher.

¹³And the sons of Nephtali were Jasiel, and Guni, and Jezer, and Sellum, sons of Bala.

¹⁴And the son of Manasses, Ezriel: and his concubine the Syrian bore Machir the father of Galaad.

¹⁵And Machir took wives for his sons Happhim, and Saphan: and he had a sister named Maacha: the name of the second was Salphaad, and Salphaad had daughters.

¹⁶And Maacha the wife of Machir bore a son, and she called his name Phares: and the name of his brother was Sares: and his sons were Ulam and Recen.

¹⁷And the son of Ulam, Baden. These are the sons of Galaad, the son of Machir, the son of Manasses.

¹⁸And his sister named Queen bore Goodlyman, and Abiezer, and Mohola.

¹⁹And the sons of Semida were Ahiu, and Sechem, and Leci and Aniam.

²⁰And the sons of Ephraim were Suthala, Bared his son, Thahath his son, Elada his son, Thahath his son, and his son Zabad,

²¹And his son Suthala, and his son Ezer, and Elad: and the men of Geth born in the land slew them, because they came down to invade their possessions.

²²And Ephraim their father mourned many days, and his brethren came to comfort him.

²³And he went in to his wife: and she conceived and bore a son, and he called his name Beria, because he was born when it went evil with his house:

²⁴And his daughter was Sara, who built Bethoron, the nether and the upper, and Ozensara.

²⁵And Rapha was his son, and Reseph, and Thale, of whom was born Thaan,

²⁶Who begot Laadan: and his son was Ammiud, who begot Elisama,

²⁷Of whom was born Nun, who had Josue for his son.

²⁸And their possessions and habitations were Bethel with her daughters, and eastward Noran, and westward Gazer and her daughters, Sichem also with her daughters, as far as Asa with her daughters.

²⁹And by the borders of the sons of Manasses Bethsan and her daughters, Thanach and her daughters, Mageddo and her daughters: Dor and her daughters: in these dwelt the children of Joseph, the son of Israel.

³⁰The children of Aser were Jemna, and Jesua, and Jessui, and Baria, and Sara their sister.

³¹And the sons of Baria: Haber, and Melchiel: he is the father of Barsaith.

³²And Heber begot Jephlat, and Somer, and Hotham, and Suaa their sister.

³³The sons of Jephlat: Phosech, and Chamaal, and Asoth: these are the sons of Jephlat.

³⁴And the sons of Somer: Ahi, and Roaga and Haba, and Aram.

³⁵And the sons of Helem his brother: Supha, and Jemna, and Selles, and Amal.

³⁶The sons of Supha: Sue, Hernapher, and Sual, and Beri, and Jamra.

³⁷Bosor and Hod, and Samma, and Salusa, and Jethran, and Bera.

³⁸The sons of Jether: Jephone, and Phaspha, and Ara.

³⁹And the sons of Olla: Aree, and Haniel, and Resia.

⁴⁰All these were sons of Aser, heads of their families, choice and most valiant captains of captains: and the number of them that were of the age that was fit for war, was six and twenty thousand.
