"And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;"

Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up. Prayer is like striking a rock with a hammer. You may not see a crack on the first hit, but persistence breaks through.

Lord, teach me to be persistent in prayer. When I am tempted to give up, give me the strength to pray one more time. I will keep knocking until the door opens. Amen.
