Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends. We usually don't have to die for our friends, but we often have to die to our selfishness for them. Sacrifice is the language of love.

Jesus, You showed the greatest love by dying for me. Help me to lay down my pride, my time, and my preferences for the sake of others today. Amen.
