"Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content."

I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. Contentment is a learned skill, not a natural reflex. It comes from trusting that God is enough, regardless of the inventory.

Father, teach me to be content. Whether I have much or little, let my satisfaction be found in You alone. Amen.
