THE GOSPEL

John 21

1After these things, Jesus revealed himself again to the disciples at the sea of Tiberias. He revealed himself this way.
John 6:1, John 6:1, John 6:23, John 6:23, Matthew 28:16
2Simon Peter, Thomas called Didymus, Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, and the sons of Zebedee, and two others of his disciples were together.
Matthew 4:21, Matthew 4:22, Matthew 4:21, Matthew 4:22, John 1:45
3Simon Peter said to them, "I'm going fishing." They told him, "We are also coming with you." They went out, and entered into the boat. That night, they caught nothing.
Luke 5:5, Luke 5:5, Matthew 4:18, Matthew 4:20, Matthew 4:18
4But when day had already come, Jesus stood on the beach, yet the disciples did not know that it was Jesus.
John 20:14, John 20:14, Luke 24:15, Luke 24:16, Luke 24:15
5Jesus therefore said to them, "Children, have you anything to eat?" They answered him, "No."
Philippians 4:19, Philippians 4:19, Philippians 4:11, Philippians 4:13, Philippians 4:11
6He said to them, "Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some." They cast it therefore, and now they weren't able to draw it in for the multitude of fish.
Luke 5:4, Luke 5:7, Luke 5:4, Luke 5:7, Acts 2:41
7That disciple therefore whom Jesus loved said to Peter, "It's the Lord!" So when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he wrapped his coat around him (for he was naked), and threw himself into the sea.
John 13:23, John 13:23, John 20:2, John 19:26, John 20:2
8But the other disciples came in the little boat (for they were not far from the land, but about two hundred cubits away), dragging the net full of fish.
Deuteronomy 3:11, Deuteronomy 3:11
9So when they got out on the land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish placed on it, and bread.
1 Kings 19:5, 1 Kings 19:6, 1 Kings 19:5, 1 Kings 19:6, John 21:10
10Jesus said to them, "Bring some of the fish which you have just caught."
11Simon Peter went up, and drew the net to land, full of great fish, one hundred fifty-three; and even though there were so many, the net was not torn.
Luke 5:6, Luke 5:8, Luke 5:6, Luke 5:8, Acts 2:41
12Jesus said to them, "Come and eat breakfast." None of the disciples dared inquire of him, "Who are you?" knowing that it was the Lord.
Acts 10:41, Acts 10:41, John 16:19, Luke 9:45, John 16:19
13Then Jesus came and took the bread, gave it to them, and the fish likewise.
John 21:9, John 21:9, Acts 10:41, Acts 10:41, Luke 24:42
14This is now the third time that Jesus was revealed to his disciples, after he had risen from the dead.
John 20:26, John 20:26, John 20:19, John 20:19
15So when they had eaten their breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?" He said to him, "Yes, Lord; you know that I have affection for you." He said to him, "Feed my lambs."
1 John 4:19, Isaiah 40:11, 1 John 4:19, Isaiah 40:11, Romans 15:1
16He said to him again a second time, "Simon, son of John, do you love me?" He said to him, "Yes, Lord; you know that I have affection for you." He said to him, "Tend my sheep."
Acts 20:28, Acts 20:28, 1 Peter 5:2, 1 Peter 5:2, 1 Peter 2:25
17He said to him the third time, "Simon, son of John, do you have affection for me?" Peter was grieved because he asked him the third time, "Do you have affection for me?" He said to him, "Lord, you know everything. You know that I have affection for you." Jesus said to him, "Feed my sheep.
John 13:38, John 13:38, Mark 14:72, Mark 14:72, John 16:30
18Truly I tell you, when you were young, you dressed yourself, and walked where you wanted to. But when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will dress you, and carry you where you do not want to go."
John 13:36, John 13:36, Acts 12:3, Acts 12:4, Acts 12:3
19Now he said this, signifying by what kind of death he would glorify God. When he had said this, he said to him, "Follow me."
2 Peter 1:14, 2 Peter 1:14, John 21:22, John 21:22, Matthew 10:38
20Then Peter, turning around, saw a disciple following. This was the disciple whom Jesus sincerely loved, the one who had also leaned on Jesus' breast at the supper and asked, "Lord, who is going to betray You?"
John 21:7, John 21:7, John 20:2, John 20:2, John 21:24
21Peter seeing him, said to Jesus, "Lord, what about this man?"
Luke 13:23, Luke 13:24, Luke 13:23, Luke 13:24, Matthew 24:3
22Jesus said to him, "If I desire that he stay until I come, what is that to you? You follow me."
Mark 9:1, Matthew 16:27, Matthew 16:28, Mark 9:1, Matthew 16:27
23This saying therefore went out among the brothers, that this disciple would not die. Yet Jesus did not say to him that he would not die, but, "If I desire that he stay until I come, what is that to you?"
Job 33:13, Deuteronomy 29:29, Job 33:13, Deuteronomy 29:29, Daniel 4:35
24This is the disciple who testifies about these things, and wrote these things. We know that his witness is true.
John 15:27, John 19:35, John 15:27, John 19:35, 1 John 1:1
25There are also many other things which Jesus did, which if they would all be written, I suppose that even the world itself would not have room for the books that would be written.
Psalms 40:5, Psalms 40:5, John 20:30, John 20:31, John 20:30
