I CORINTHIANS

I Corinthians 8

1Now concerning things sacrificed to idols: We know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up.
1 Corinthians 8:7, 1 Corinthians 8:7, Romans 14:3, Romans 14:3, Isaiah 5:21
2But if anyone thinks that he knows anything, he does not yet know as he ought to know.
1 Corinthians 13:12, 1 Corinthians 13:12, 1 Corinthians 3:18, 1 Corinthians 3:18, Proverbs 26:12
3But if anyone loves God, the same is known by him.
Revelation 3:8, Revelation 3:9, Revelation 3:8, Revelation 3:9, Exodus 33:17
4Therefore concerning the eating of things sacrificed to idols, we know that no idol is anything in the world, and that there is no God but one.
Deuteronomy 4:39, Deuteronomy 4:39, Isaiah 41:24, Isaiah 41:24, 1 Timothy 2:5
5For though there are things that are called "gods," whether in the heavens or on earth; as there are many "gods" and many "lords;"
Jeremiah 2:28, 2 Thessalonians 2:4, Galatians 4:8, Jeremiah 2:28, 2 Thessalonians 2:4
6yet to us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things, and we for him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and we live through him.
Romans 11:36, Romans 11:36, John 1:3, John 1:3, Malachi 2:10
7However, that knowledge is not in all men. But some, being so accustomed to idols until now, eat as of a thing sacrificed to an idol, and their conscience, being weak, is defiled.
Romans 14:14, Romans 14:14, 1 Corinthians 10:28, 1 Corinthians 10:29, 1 Corinthians 10:28
8But food will not commend us to God. For neither, if we do not eat, are we the worse; nor, if we eat, are we the better.
Romans 14:17, Romans 14:17, Hebrews 13:9, Hebrews 13:9, 1 Corinthians 6:13
9But be careful that by no means does this liberty of yours become a stumbling block to the weak.
Galatians 5:13, Galatians 5:13, Romans 14:20, Romans 14:21, Romans 14:20
10For if a man sees you who have knowledge sitting in an idol's temple, won't his conscience, if he is weak, be emboldened to eat things sacrificed to idols?
1 Corinthians 10:28, 1 Corinthians 10:29, 1 Corinthians 10:28, 1 Corinthians 10:29, Romans 14:23
11And through your knowledge, he who is weak perishes, the brother for whom the Christ died.
Romans 14:15, Romans 14:15, Romans 15:1, Romans 15:3, Romans 15:1
12Thus, sinning against the brothers, and wounding their conscience when it is weak, you sin against Christ.
Matthew 18:6, Matthew 18:6, Matthew 25:45, Matthew 25:45, 1 Corinthians 12:12
13Therefore, if food causes my brother to stumble, I will eat no meat forevermore, that I do not cause my brother to stumble.
Romans 14:21, Romans 14:21, 2 Corinthians 11:29, 2 Corinthians 6:3, 2 Corinthians 11:29
