DEUTERONOMY

Deuteronomy 2

1Then we turned, and took our journey into the wilderness by the way to the Red Sea, as the Lord spoke to me; and we encircled Mount Seir many days.
Numbers 21:4, Numbers 21:4, Numbers 14:25, Deuteronomy 1:40, Numbers 14:25
2The Lord spoke to me, saying,
3"You have encircled this mountain long enough. Turn northward.
Deuteronomy 1:6, Deuteronomy 1:6, Deuteronomy 2:14, Deuteronomy 2:14, Deuteronomy 2:7
4Command the people, saying, 'You are to pass through the border of your brothers the children of Esau, who dwell in Seir; and they will be afraid of you: take good heed to yourselves therefore;
Numbers 20:14, Numbers 20:21, Numbers 20:14, Numbers 20:21, Exodus 15:15
5do not contend with them; for I will not give you of their land, no, not so much as for the sole of the foot to tread on; because I have given Mount Seir to Esau for a possession.
Joshua 24:4, Joshua 24:4, Genesis 36:8, Genesis 36:8, Acts 7:5
6You shall purchase food of them for money, that you may eat; and you shall also buy water of them for money, that you may drink.'"
Romans 12:17, Numbers 20:19, Deuteronomy 2:28, Deuteronomy 2:29, Matthew 7:12
7For the Lord your God has blessed you in all the work of your hand; he has known your walking through this great wilderness: these forty years the Lord your God has been with you; you have lacked nothing.
Nehemiah 9:21, Luke 22:35, Nehemiah 9:21, Luke 22:35, Deuteronomy 8:2
8So we passed by from our brothers the children of Esau, who dwell in Seir, from the way of the Arabah from Elath and from Ezion Geber. We turned and passed by the way of the wilderness of Moab.
1 Kings 9:26, 1 Kings 9:26, 2 Kings 16:6, Judges 11:18, 2 Kings 16:6
9The Lord said to me, "Do not bother Moab, neither contend with them in battle; for I will not give you of his land for a possession; because I have given Ar to the children of Lot for a possession."
Genesis 19:36, Genesis 19:37, Genesis 19:36, Genesis 19:37, Numbers 21:15
10(The Emim lived therein before, a people great, and many, and tall, as the Anakim:
Genesis 14:5, Genesis 14:5, Deuteronomy 2:11, Numbers 13:22, Deuteronomy 2:11
11these also are accounted Rephaim, as the Anakim; but the Moabites call them Emim.
Deuteronomy 9:2, Numbers 13:28, Deuteronomy 1:28, Numbers 13:33, Genesis 14:5
12The Horites also lived in Seir before, but the children of Esau succeeded them; and they destroyed them from before them, and lived in their place; as Israel did to the land of his possession, which the Lord gave to them.)
Deuteronomy 2:22, Deuteronomy 2:22, Genesis 14:6, Genesis 14:6, Deuteronomy 2:32
13"Now rise up, and cross over the brook Zered." We went over the brook Zered.
Numbers 21:12, Numbers 21:12, Numbers 13:23, Numbers 13:23
14The days in which we came from Kadesh Barnea, until we had come over the brook Zered, were thirty-eight years; until all the generation of the men of war were consumed from the midst of the camp, as the Lord swore to them.
Numbers 26:64, Numbers 26:65, Numbers 14:28, Numbers 14:35, Numbers 26:64
15Moreover the hand of the Lord was against them, to destroy them from the midst of the camp, until they were consumed.
Psalms 106:26, Psalms 106:26, Psalms 90:7, Psalms 90:9, Isaiah 66:14
16So it happened, when all the men of war were consumed and dead from among the people,
17that the Lord spoke to me, saying,
18"You are this day to pass over Ar, the border of Moab:
Numbers 21:23, Numbers 21:23, Isaiah 15:1, Numbers 21:15, Isaiah 15:1
19and when you come near over against the children of Ammon, do not bother them, nor contend with them; for I will not give you of the land of the children of Ammon for a possession; because I have given it to the children of Lot for a possession."
Deuteronomy 2:9, Deuteronomy 2:9, Judges 11:13, Judges 11:27, Judges 11:13
20(That also is accounted a land of Rephaim: Rephaim lived therein before; but the Ammonites call them Zamzummim,
Genesis 14:5, Genesis 14:5
21a people great, and many, and tall, as the Anakim; but the Lord destroyed them before them; and they succeeded them, and lived in their place;
Deuteronomy 1:28, Deuteronomy 2:22, Jeremiah 27:7, Jeremiah 27:8, Judges 11:24
22as he did for the children of Esau, who dwell in Seir, when he destroyed the Horites from before them; and they succeeded them, and lived in their place even to this day:
Genesis 36:8, Genesis 36:8, Genesis 36:20, Genesis 36:30, Deuteronomy 2:12
23and the Avvim, who lived in villages as far as Gaza, the Caphtorim, who came forth out of Caphtor, destroyed them, and lived in their place.)
Genesis 10:14, Joshua 13:3, Genesis 10:14, Joshua 13:3, Amos 9:7
24"Rise up, take your journey, and pass over the valley of the Arnon: behold, I have given into your hand Sihon the Amorite, king of Heshbon, and his land; begin to possess it, and contend with him in battle.
Judges 11:18, Judges 11:21, Judges 11:18, Judges 11:21, Deuteronomy 2:36
25This day will I begin to put the dread of you and the fear of you on the peoples who are under the whole sky, who shall hear the report of you, and shall tremble, and be in anguish because of you."
Deuteronomy 11:25, Deuteronomy 11:25, Exodus 15:14, Exodus 15:16, Exodus 15:14
26I sent messengers out of the wilderness of Kedemoth to Sihon king of Heshbon with words of peace, saying,
Luke 10:10, Luke 10:12, Joshua 13:18, Luke 10:5, Luke 10:6
27"Let me pass through your land: I will go along by the highway, I will turn neither to the right hand nor to the left.
Judges 11:19, Judges 11:19, Numbers 21:21, Numbers 21:23, Deuteronomy 2:6
28You shall sell me food for money, that I may eat; and give me water for money, that I may drink: only let me pass through on my feet,
Numbers 20:19, Numbers 20:19
29as the children of Esau who dwell in Seir, and the Moabites who dwell in Ar, did to me; until I shall pass over the Jordan into the land which the Lord our God gives us."
Numbers 20:18, Judges 11:17, Judges 11:18, Deuteronomy 23:3, Deuteronomy 23:4
30But Sihon king of Heshbon would not let us pass by him; for the Lord your God hardened his spirit, and made his heart obstinate, that he might deliver him into your hand, as at this day.
Numbers 21:23, Numbers 21:23, Exodus 4:21, Exodus 4:21, Joshua 11:19
31The Lord said to me, "Behold, I have begun to deliver up Sihon and his land before you: begin to possess, that you may inherit his land."
Deuteronomy 1:8, Deuteronomy 1:8, Deuteronomy 2:24, Deuteronomy 2:24
32Then Sihon came out against us, he and all his people, to battle at Jahaz.
Numbers 21:23, Numbers 21:30, Numbers 21:23, Numbers 21:30, Psalms 136:19
33The Lord our God delivered him up before us; and we struck him, and his sons, and all his people.
Deuteronomy 7:2, Deuteronomy 7:2, Joshua 21:44, Joshua 21:44, Judges 7:2
34We took all his cities at that time, and utterly destroyed every inhabited city, with the women and the little ones; we left none remaining:
Deuteronomy 7:2, 1 Samuel 15:3, Deuteronomy 7:2, 1 Samuel 15:3, Deuteronomy 3:6
35only the livestock we took for a prey to ourselves, with the spoil of the cities which we had taken.
Numbers 31:9, Numbers 31:11, Deuteronomy 20:14, Joshua 8:27, Numbers 31:9
36From Aroer, which is on the edge of the valley of the Arnon, and the city that is in the valley, even to Gilead, there was not a city too high for us; the Lord our God delivered up all before us:
Joshua 13:9, Joshua 13:9, Deuteronomy 3:12, Deuteronomy 4:48, Deuteronomy 3:12
37only to the land of the children of Ammon you did not come near; all the side of the river Jabbok, and the cities of the hill country, and wherever the Lord our God forbade us.
Genesis 32:22, Deuteronomy 3:16, Numbers 21:24, Genesis 32:22, Deuteronomy 3:16
