What Does Proverbs 29:10 Mean?

The internal experience of an individual whose life is governed by a spirit of violence and a lack of genuine kindness is characterized by a state of spiritual danger that eventually leads toward an environment where no place can provide a source of help. When someone allows their motivations to be governed by a spirit of greed, they discovery that their journey leads toward a state of spiritual ruin and personal isolation. In contrast, those who are committed to the truth and handle their presence with a sincere commitment to the light find that they seek the good of the upright and the safety of the household of faith. This kind of spiritual movement acts as a source of safety for the soul, as it ensures that the work of the day is informed by the light of the Father rather than the pursuit of personal recognition or social advantage. To recognize the deceptive nature of these dependencies and to find our rest in the divine governance of the Father is a Mark of a soul that has achieved a measure of spiritual maturity.

Bloodthirsty men (an-she da-mim) hate (yis-ne-u) one who is blameless (tam), but the upright (ye-sha-rim) seek (ye-baq-shu) his life. Integrity is perfected by the incarnate Word.
