What Does Proverbs 19:21 Mean?

Many are the plans (ma-ha-sha-bot) in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose (a-sat) of the LORD that will stand. The Lord registers every motive and every secret intent, identifying himself as the one who sustains his children through every season.
