A church can successfully crush the cultural opposition, forcefully expand its campus across multiple cities, and dominate the specific media environment, looking like a brilliant, unquestionable triumph for the kingdom. However, if the significant, sweeping external victory is secretly infected with a pragmatic disobedience to the specific voice of the Lord, the entire spectacular campaign is ultimately registered by heaven as a catastrophic failure.

The sweeping, significant, but ultimately compromised victory achieved by Saul contrasts with the total victory secured uniquely by the Lord Jesus Christ.
