Leviticus 13

1And the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying:

2The man in whose skin or flesh there will have arisen a diverse color, or a pustule, or something that seems to shine, which is the mark of leprosy, shall be brought to Aaron the priest, or to anyone you wish among his sons.

3And if he sees that leprosy is in his skin, and that the hair has turned a white color, and that the place where the leprosy appears is lower than the rest of the skin and the flesh, then it is the mark of leprosy, and at his judgment he shall be separated.

4But if there will be a shining whiteness in the skin, but it is not lower than the rest of the flesh, and the hair is of unaffected color, the priest shall seclude him for seven days.

5And on the seventh day he shall examine him, and if the leprosy certainly has not increased further, and has not spread itself in the skin, he shall seclude him again, for another seven days.

6And on the seventh day, he shall evaluate him. If the leprosy has become obscured, and has not increased in the skin, he shall declare him clean, because it is a scab. And the man shall wash his clothes, and he shall be clean.

7But if the leprosy increases again, after he was seen by the priest and restored to cleanness, he shall be brought to him,

8and he shall be condemned of uncleanness.

9If the mark of leprosy has been in a man, he shall be brought to the priest,

10and he shall look upon him. And when there is a white color in the skin, and it has an altered appearance in its hair, and also the same flesh seems alive,

11it shall be judged a chronic leprosy, which has grown into the skin. And so the priest shall declare him contaminated, and he shall not seclude him, because he is clearly unclean.

12But if the leprosy will have flourished, coursing through the skin, and will have covered all the skin from the head even to the feet, whatever falls under the sight of the eyes,

13the priest shall examine him, and he shall judge that the leprosy that he possesses is very clean, because it has all turned to whiteness, and for this reason the man shall be clean.

14Yet truly, when the living flesh shall appear in him,

15then by the judgment of the priest he shall be polluted, and he shall be considered to be among the unclean. For the live flesh, if it is spotted with leprosy, is unclean.

16And if again it will have turned into whiteness, and will have covered the entire man,

17the priest shall examine him, and he shall discern him to be clean.

18But when there has been an ulcer in the flesh and the skin, and it has healed,

19and in the place of the ulcer, there appears a white or reddish scar, the man shall be brought to the priest.

20And when he will have seen the place of the leprosy lower than the rest of the flesh, and that the hair has turned white, he shall declare him contaminated. For the plague of leprosy has arisen from the ulcer.

21But if the hair is of the usual color, and the scar is somewhat obscure and is not lower than the nearby flesh, he shall seclude him for seven days.

22And if it will have certainly increased, he shall judge him to have leprosy.

23But if it stays in its place, it is the scar of an ulcer, and the man shall be clean.

24But if flesh and skin has been burned by fire, and, having been healed, now has a white or red scar,

25the priest shall examine it, and if he sees that it has turned white, and that its place is lower than the rest of the skin, he shall declare him contaminated, for the mark of leprosy has arisen in the scar.

26But if the color of the hair has not been changed, nor is the mark lower than the rest of the flesh, and the leprosy itself appears to be somewhat obscure, he shall seclude him for seven days,

27and on the seventh day he shall evaluate him. If the leprosy will have increased further in the skin, he shall declare him contaminated.

28But if the whiteness stays in its place and is not very clear, it is the mark of a burn, and for this reason he shall be declared clean, because it is only the scar from a burn.

29If leprosy will have sprung up in the head or the beard of a man or woman, the priest shall look upon them,

30and if the place is certainly lower than the rest of the flesh, and the hair is golden, and thinner than usual, he shall declare them contaminated, because it is the leprosy of the head and the beard.

31But if he sees that the place of the spot is equal with the nearby flesh, and that the hair is black, he shall seclude him for seven days,

32and on the seventh day he shall examine it. If the spot has not increased, and the hair has kept its color, and the place of the mark is equal with the rest of the flesh,

33the man shall be shaven, except in the place of the spot, and he shall be secluded for another seven days.

34On the seventh day, if the mark seems to have stayed in its place, and it is not lower than the rest of the flesh, he shall declare him clean, and, his clothes having been washed, he shall be clean.

35But if, after his cleansing, the spot will have increased again in the skin,

36he shall no longer inquire as to whether the hair has turned yellow, because he is plainly unclean.

37Furthermore, if the spot has not increased, and the hair is black, let him know that the man is healed: and let him confidently pronounce him clean.

38If a whiteness will have appeared in the skin of a man or a woman,

39the priest shall examine them. If he detects an obscured whiteness shining in the skin, may he know that it is not leprosy, but a white-colored blemish, and that the man is clean.

40The man whose hair falls off of his head is bald and clean.

41And if the hair falls off of his forehead, he is bald in front and clean.

42But if in the bald head or bald forehead there has arisen a white or reddish color,

43and the priest will have seen this, he shall condemn him without doubt of leprosy, which has arisen in the baldness.

44Therefore, whoever will have been spotted by leprosy, and who has been separated at the judgment of the priest,

45shall have his clothes unstitched, his head bare, his mouth covered with a cloth, and he himself shall cry out that he is contaminated and filthy.

46The entire time that he is a leper and unclean he shall live alone outside the camp.

47A woolen or linen garment that will have held the leprosy,

48in the main fibers or in any of the threads, or certainly in a skin, or whatever has been made from a skin,

49if it has been infected with a white or red spot, it shall be considered to be leprosy, and it shall be shown to the priest.

50And he, having examined it, shall close it up for seven days.

51And on the seventh day, having looked at it again, if he detects an increase, it is a persistent leprosy; he shall judge the garment to be polluted, along with everything with which it has been found.

52And because of this, it shall be burned in flames.

53But if he will have seen that it has not increased,

54he shall instruct them, and they shall wash whatever has the leprosy in it, and he shall close it up for another seven days.

55And when he will have seen that the former appearance has not returned, even if the leprosy has not increased, he shall judge it to be unclean, and he shall burn it with fire, for the leprosy has been infused in the exterior of the garment, or throughout the whole.

56But if the place of the leprosy has become somewhat darker, after the garment has been washed, he shall tear it away, and separate it from the part that is sound.

57But if, after this, there will appear in those places which before were immaculate, a flying and wandering leprosy, it must be burned with fire.

58If it will have ceased, he shall wash with water the parts which are pure for a second time, and they shall be clean.

59This is the law about leprosy for any woolen or linen garment, in the weave and in the threads, and for all items made from skins, how it must be declared either clean or contaminated.

Leviticus 13

1And the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying:

2The man in whose skin or flesh shall arise a different colour or a blister, or as it were something shining, that is the stroke of the leprosy, shall be brought to Aaron the priest, or any or of his sons.

3And if he see the leprosy in his skin, and the hair turned white and the place where the leprosy appears lower than the skin and the rest of the flesh: it is the stroke of the leprosy, and upon his judgment he shall be separated.

4But if there be a shining whiteness in the skin, and not lower than the other flesh, and the hair be of the former colour, the priest shall shut him up seven days.

5And the seventh day he shall look on him: and if the leprosy be grown no farther, and hath not spread itself in the skin, he shall shut him up again other seven days.

6And on the seventh day, he shall look on him. If the leprosy be somewhat obscure, and not spread in the skin, he shall declare him clean, because it is but a scab: and the man shall wash his clothes, and shall be clean.

7But, if the leprosy grow again, after he was seen by the priest and restored to cleanness, he shall be brought to him:

8And shall be condemned of uncleanness.

9If the stroke of the leprosy be in a man, he shall be brought to the priest:

10And he shall view him. And when there shall be a white colour in the skin, and it shall have changed the look of the hair, and the living flesh itself shall appear:

11It shall be judged an inveterate leprosy, and grown into the skin. The priest therefore shall declare him unclean: and shall not shut him up, because he is evidently unclean.

12But if the leprosy spring out running about in the skin, and cover all the skin from the head to the feet, whatsoever falleth under the sight of the eyes:

13The priest shall view him, and shall judge that the leprosy which he has is very clean: because it is all turned into whiteness, and therefore the man shall be clean.

14But when the live flesh shall appear in him:

15Then by the judgment of the priest he shall be defiled, and shall be reckoned among the unclean. For live flesh, if it be spotted with leprosy, is unclean.

16And if again it be turned into whiteness, and cover all the man:

17The priest shall view him, and shall judge him to be clean.

18When also there has been an ulcer in the flesh and the skin, and it has been healed:

19And in the place of the ulcer, there appeareth a white scar, or somewhat red, the man shall be brought to the priest.

20And when he shall see the place of the leprosy lower than the other flesh, and the hair turned white: he shall declare him unclean, for the plague of leprosy is broken out in the ulcer.

21But if the hair be of the former colour, and the scar somewhat obscure, and be not lower than the flesh that is near it: he shall shut him up seven days.

22And if it spread, he shall judge him to have the leprosy:

23But if it stay in its place, it is but the scar of an ulcer: and the man shall be clean.

24The flesh also and skin that hath been burnt, and after it is healed hath a white or a red scar:

25The priest shall view it, and if he see it turned white, and the place thereof is lower than the other skin: he shall declare him unclean, because the evil of leprosy is broken out in the scar.

26But if the colour of the hair be not changed, nor the blemish lower than the other flesh, and the appearance of the leprosy be somewhat obscure: he shall shut him up seven days,

27And on the seventh day he shall view him. If the leprosy be grown farther in the skin, he shall declare him unclean.

28But if the whiteness stay in its place, and be not very clear, it is the sore of a burning: and therefore he shall be cleansed, because it is only the scar of a burning.

29If the leprosy break out in the head or the beard of a man or woman, the priest shall see them,

30And if the place be lower than the other flesh, and the hair yellow, and thinner than usual: he shall declare them unclean, because it is the leprosy of the head and the beard;

31But if he perceive the place of the spot is equal with the flesh that is near it, and the hair black: he shall shut him up seven days,

32And on the seventh day he shall look upon it. If the spot be not grown, and the hair keep its colour, and the place of the blemish be even with the other flesh:

33The man shall be shaven all but the place of the spot: and he shall be shut up other seven days.

34If on the seventh day the evil seem to have stayed in its place, and not lower than the other flesh, he shall cleanse him: and his clothes being washed he shall be clean.

35But if after his cleansing the spot spread again in the skin:

36He shall seek no more whether the hair be turned yellow, because he is evidently unclean.

37But if the spot be stayed, and the hair be black, let him know that the man is healed: and let him confidently pronounce him clean.

38If a whiteness appear in the skin of a man or a woman,

39The priest shall view them. If he find that a darkish whiteness shineth in the skin, let him know that it is not the leprosy, but a white blemish, and that the man is clean.

40The man whose hair falleth off from his head, he is bald and clean:

41And if the hair fall from his forehead, he is bald before and clean.

42But if in the bald head or in the bald forehead there be risen a white or reddish colour:

43And the priest perceive this, he shall condemn him undoubtedly of leprosy which is risen in the bald part.

44Now whosoever shall be defiled with the leprosy, and is separated by the judgment of the priest:

45Shall have his clothes hanging loose, his head bare, his mouth covered with a cloth: and he shall cry out that he is defiled and unclean.

46All the time that he is a leper and unclean he shall dwell alone without the camp.

47A woollen or linen garment that shall have the leprosy

48In the warp, and the woof: or skin, or whatsoever is made of a skin:

49If it be infected with a white or red spot, it shall be accounted the leprosy, and shall be shewn to the priest.

50And he shall look upon it and shall shut it up seven days.

51And on the seventh day when he looketh on it again, if he find that it is grown, it is a fixed leprosy. He shall judge the garment unclean, and every thing wherein it shall be found.

52And therefore it shall be burnt with fire.

53But if he see that it is not grown,

54He shall give orders, and they shall wash that part wherein the leprosy is: and he shall shut it up other seven days.

55And when he shall see that the former colour is not returned, nor yet the leprosy spread, he shall judge it unclean: and shall burn it with fire, for the leprosy has taken hold of the outside of the garment, or through the whole.

56But if the place of the leprosy be somewhat dark, after the garment is washed, he shall tear it off, and divide it from that which is sound.

57And if after this there appear in those places that before were without spot, a flying and wandering leprosy: it must be burnt with fire.

58If it cease, he shall wash with water the parts that are pure, the second time: and they shall be clean.

59This is the law touching the leprosy of any woollen or linen garment, either in the warp or woof, or any thing of skins: how it ought to be cleaned, or pronounced unclean.
