Galatians 6 Comparison: Berean Study Bible vs Young's Literal Translation

chevron_leftchevron_right

Galatians 6

1Brothers, if someone is caught in a trespass, you who are spiritual should restore him with a spirit of gentleness. But watch yourself, or you also may be tempted.

2Carry one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.

3If anyone thinks he is something when he is nothing, he deceives himself.

4Each one should test his own work. Then he will have reason to boast in himself alone, and not in someone else.

5For each one should carry his own load.

6Nevertheless, the one who receives instruction in the word must share in all good things with his instructor.

7Do not be deceived: God is not to be mocked. Whatever a man sows, he will reap in return.

8The one who sows to please his flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; but the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.

9Let us not grow weary in well-doing, for in due time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

10Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to the family of faith.

11See what large letters I am using to write to you with my own hand!

12Those who want to make a good impression outwardly are trying to compel you to be circumcised. They only do this to avoid persecution for the cross of Christ.

13For the circumcised do not even keep the law themselves, yet they want you to be circumcised that they may boast in your flesh.

14But as for me, may I never boast, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.

15For neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything. What counts is a new creation.

16Peace and mercy to all who walk by this rule, even to the Israel of God.

17From now on let no one cause me trouble, for I bear on my body the marks of Jesus.

18The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit, brothers. Amen.

Galatians 6

1Brethren, if a man also may be overtaken in any trespass, ye who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of meekness, considering thyselflest thou also may be tempted;

2of one another the burdens bear ye, and so fill up the law of the Christ,

3for if any one doth think himself to be somethingbeing nothinghimself he doth deceive;

4and his own work let each one prove, and then in regard to himself alone the glorying he shall have, and not in regard to the other,

5for each one his own burden shall bear.

6And let him who is instructed in the word share with him who is instructingin all good things.

7Be not led astray; God is not mocked; for what a man may sowthat also he shall reap,

8because he who is sowing to his own flesh, of the flesh shall reap corruption; and he who is sowing to the Spirit, of the Spirit shall reap life age-during;

9and in the doing good we may not be faint-hearted, for at the proper time we shall reapnot desponding;

10therefore, then, as we have opportunity, may we work the good to all, and especially unto those of the household of the faith.

11Ye see in how large letters I have written to you with my own hand;

12as many as are willing to make a good appearance in the flesh, these constrain you to be circumcisedonly that for the cross of the Christ they may not be persecuted,

13for neither do those circumcised themselves keep the law, but they wish you to be circumcised, that in your flesh they may glory.

14And for me, let it not beto glory, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which to me the world hath been crucified, and I to the world;

15for in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creation;

16and as many as by this rule do walkpeace upon them, and kindness, and on the Israel of God!

17Henceforth, let no one give me trouble, for I the scars of the Lord Jesus in my body do bear.

18The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ is with your spirit, brethren! Amen.
