Luke
Jesus the Son of Man
infoBook Overview
Luke was not an eyewitness; he was a doctor and a historian who interviewed eyewitnesses to create an "orderly account." His Gospel is the longest and arguably the most beautiful literary work in the New Testament. Luke has a special heart for the outsider. He highlights stories that the others leave out, focusing on women, the poor, Samaritans, and "sinners."
It is here we find the famous parables of the Good Samaritan and the Prodigal Son. Luke shows us the humanity of Jesus perfectly. But to see the divinity of Jesus in high definition, we must turn to the deeply spiritual perspective of the Gospel of John.
