Revelation
Christ's Victory and Return
infoBook Overview
We have reached the end. This is the only book of prophecy in the New Testament, written by John while exiled on the island of Patmos. It is a dazzling explosion of imagery: dragons, beasts, trumpets, and bowls of wrath. It is not meant to be a terrifying puzzle to solve, but a source of hope for persecuted Christians. It pulls back the curtain to show that despite the chaos on earth, Jesus is currently sitting on the throne.
It moves through the judgment of evil empires and ends with the marriage of Heaven and Earth—the New Jerusalem. There are no more tears, no more pain, and no more death. The Bible ends not with a "The End," but with a new beginning.
